ABOUT JAY BURNS-HORTON
Jay Burns-Horton serves as the Director of Community Engagement at Atlanta First United Methodist Church in downtown Atlanta, GA where he oversees the congregation's Christian education and social justice initiatives. Jay is a 2014 graduate of Rome High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Georgia and a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He is a passionate people-lover with academic interests in the intersection of new media technology and Christian mission. He is happily married to R. Jeremy Burns, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a father of their one-year old pup, Magnolia June. When not working, he enjoys reading, traveling, and hanging out with his nieces.
